Auburn Family Health Center, P.C. was established in 1979 as a National Health Service Corps site when Dr. Gary Ensz was recruited to the area. Nemaha County Health Services, Inc. oversaw the practice from 1979-1983. Dr. Ensz took over the practice as a sole proprietor in 1983. Dr. Dana Farris joined the practice in 1985 and Dr. Jeffrey Meade joined the practice in 1990. It continued as a partnership until 1992 when it was incorporated as Auburn Family Health Center, P.C.
Due to continued growth, Dr. John Gill and Dr. Michael Zaruba joined the practice in 2001. In 2019, Dr. Dana Farris moved to Arizona. Dr. Andrew Ensz, son of Dr. Gary Ensz, joined AFHC in the fall of 2019.
In addition to Dr. Andrew, his wife, Dr. Amanda Ensz joined our practice in November 2019. Dr. Amanda is an Internal Medicine physician, who specializes in adult complex health conditions. She is trained to see a wide variety of patients with multiple health issues. Dr. Amanda's particular interests include Diabetes, Hypertension, Heart Disease and Women's Health.
Auburn Family Health Center, P.C. currently employs five Family Practice Physicians, one Internal Medicine physician, and three Physician Assistants.
